So, what's it really like to fly?

"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."
- Leonardo da Vinci

I've lived in Utah my whole life, specifically the south end of the Salt Lake Valley. Growing up I was accustomed to seeing so many of these hang gliders and paragliders in the air. However, I never knew exactly how well known the point of the mountain was! I saw them out while driving by one day and my Husband and I decided to go up to take some photos. Wow! Simply incredible!

We spoke with a few of the paragliders after they had just landed. As it turns out, the point of the mountain is well known, even famous for its hang gliding and paragliding. One gentlemen we spoke with stated that he came from New York just to hang glide in Utah. He went on to mention that any given day, if you were to talk to a bunch of the hang gliders, you would more then likely hear about 4 different languages spoken.

In doing some research later, I found this quote:

"Utah is one of the places in the United States that features some of the best places to hang glide. You can hang glide, paraglide and take in many other sports that involve flying through the air."

It is so cool to know more about this incredible sport and hear about how famous this great state is for just that! Now I only wish I would have known sooner!
